本课程为生物科学、生物技术、科学教学专业通选课程，在简要介绍动植物识别基础知识的基础上（9学时），重点到野外介绍校园、街道、市区公园、校园邻近地区（金华郊区）等地区常见的绿化、观赏、药用等资源植物或动物种类（27学时）。通过基础知识回顾和野外动植物的实地观察，使不同专业学生进一步提高动植物识别相关知识，对本地区常见动植物种类及主要用途等方面有进一步的了解，同时可借助合适的参考书查阅感兴趣的动植物。

This course is the general course for different speciality including bioscience, biotechnology and science education. On the basis of brief introduction about basic knowledge of plant or animal identification, this course focus on the introduction of normal resources plants or animals such as green plants, ornamental plants, medicinal plants on campus, streets, parks and etc. From reviewing the basic knowledge and observing wild plants or animals, students could improve the knowledge of biology identification, and they could also have further information about locally normal biology species and the main uses of each species, at the same time, they could identify living things which they are interested in by some applicable reference books.
